A transcript is the comprehensive academic record which includes a student's major(s), minor(s), coursework, grades, credit hours, GPA, and degrees earned at NYU. Official transcripts bear the official seal of the University and are issued in paper or secure-PDF format. An unofficial transcript does not bear the university seal and can be retrieved by students via Albert SIS (NYU’s student information system) in a PDF format.
Upon request, the Office of the University Registrar issues official transcripts typically within 2 business days. Students who attend(ed) Grossman Schools of Medicine must contact their school’s record office directly to request a transcript.
Transcripts can be requested online via Albert SIS or the National Student Clearinghouse, or in-person at the NYU Student Link Centers in Manhattan (383 Lafayette St., New York, NY 10003) and Brooklyn (Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201).
Additional information about requesting an NYU transcript can be found on the Office of the University Registrar’s website.
